A small painting of my dog

March 18, 2025 Natalie Wargin

Tilly is a steady dog. loud sudden noises don’t bother her. The thunder of this electrical storm distracts her though which is too bad because she would have loved to go after that chipmunk. Lucky for the chipmunk. Tilly is very fast as I’ve mentioned several times. The rain comes down hard, the wind blows the catalpa’s leaves and scatters its blossoms. The birds are agitated. One chipmunk heads for cover while another sleeping below dreams on. I see the lightening. I’ll have to call the dog into the house in a minute.

“Dog#2”
Acrylic on claybord
6 x 6 inches
SOLD

I don’t do many of these small pieces but they’re fun for a change. Not nearly as time consuming as my 18 x 24 inch paintings so the feeling of accomplishment comes fairly quickly. It’s also a nice challenge to see how much detail I can pack into a small space. Prints of this image are available in my shop. Find them here:
